Get Some SUPERPOST

The third annual GET SOME ski and snowboard carnival presented by Northern Colorado Riders went off with a bang this year! As the event kicked, UNC Radio DJ Forrest Bowlick got the music pumping and once the smell of hot dogs, cheeseburgers, and cotton candy was in the air, it was on. The carnival themed event featured tents and games from SoBe Energy, Capita Snowboards, Eldora Mountain Resort, Burton Snowboards, Alpine Haus, Vail Resorts, Wells Fargo, eesa Lux Layering, and Echo Mt.

As the event raged on students gathered their hard-earned raffle tickets and eagerly awaited the announcement of the raffle winners. Every 15 minutes, prize packages from an array of sponsors, lift tickets from Eldora, and even season passes from Vail Resorts and Echo Mt were raffled off. To fill the extra time, students enjoyed free BBQ and cotton candy, picked up their season passes for the year, gathered freebies from all the sponsor tents, and battled it out for more prizes in the Burton Snowboards dunk tank, Wells Fargo prize wheel, dizzy bat race, and pie eating contests. One especially enthusiastic NCR member showed up to the event decked out in a clown suit. Congratulations goes out to Mark Bechtle who walked away with a free 5 mountain pass!
